27 Years in DeMolay: A Journey of Growth and Gratitude
Today marks a significant milestone for me: the 27th anniversary of my entrance into the DeMolay International Order.
It all began with my son Cristian and a group of passionate young men who founded the first DeMolay Chapter in Italy, “Roma n.1”.
Initially, I accompanied Cristian to Chapter meetings, unaware of the profound impact these moments would have on my life. I soon discovered the immense value of this Order for educating young men in our nation. DeMolay is a secular organization that imparts essential values for personal growth and development.
In Italy, there was no place like DeMolay that taught the seven key principles forming the character of a man, preparing him to become a responsible and compassionate citizen. My journey with the Order began 27 years ago, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have experienced this extraordinary adventure.
Witnessing Growth and Maturity
Throughout these years, I have witnessed thousands of young men grow, mature, and find their paths in life. The Order has played a crucial role in helping many answer the fundamental question: “What do I want to do in life?” They have not only grown as individuals but also learned to share the love they received, spreading it worldwide.
A Global Family
DeMolay has provided a unique opportunity for young men to meet peers from every corner of the world, from different backgrounds, races, and religions. They have discovered the true meaning of being part of a global family, united by shared principles and a common desire to build a better world founded on love and peace.
Support from American Brothers
I cannot forget the support I have received from my American brothers. Despite the language barriers – my English has never been perfect – they welcomed me with warmth, trust, and great patience. They helped me overcome every difficulty, always making me feel part of the community.
Gratitude to Cristian and Lina
I must thank my son Cristian for introducing me to this wonderful world. Today, he continues his commitment to the Order as a Jurisdictional Staff DeMolay Advisor. Seeing him grow and actively contribute to this path is one of my greatest satisfactions.
A special thanks also goes to my wife, Lina. Her constant support, patience, and love have accompanied me at every step of my journey, both in Europe and beyond, while I promoted the DeMolay Order. Without her, none of this would have been possible.
A Second Youth
DeMolay has given me much more than I could have imagined. It has given me a second youth, allowing me to remain active and engaged at 74 years old, with the same enthusiasm and energy as when I first began. For this, I will be forever grateful.
Conclusion
Thank you to all those who have believed in me, in my abilities, and who have accompanied me on this extraordinary journey. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
